After insolvency proceedings in 2013, the toolmaker was acquired by Sol Futura, which has now sold it to Solarpark Blautal, a company co-owned by QSTec and Centrotherm co-founder Robert Hartung.
The deal helps Qatar increases its influence in the PV sector. QSTec also owns a 29% stake in SolarWorld, Europe's largest PV panel maker. QSTec itself is owned by the Qatar Foundation, which was set up by the Qatari government.
