The US group’s Trinity Structural Towers Inc (TSTI) subsidiary claims Suzlon has failed to comply with purchasing obligations relating to $412.5m-worth of 80-metre towers.
TSTI has filed a breach-of-contract-law suit against Suzlon's North American arm in the district court of Dallas County, where Trinity Industries is based.
According to a Trinity statement, Suzlon agreed in 2008 to buy about $377m of turbine towers over a schedule running through to 2011.
